What is thymosin α1?

A peptide from the thymus gland that is meant to strengthen the immune system – especially T cells.

How well studied is thymosin α1?

Approved in some countries outside the EU (including China), e.g. for hepatitis B. There are clinical studies; the results are mixed depending on the indication.

What are the side effects and risks of thymosin α1?

Mostly well tolerated; injection site reactions.

Is thymosin α1 approved in Germany?

In short: no – only outside the EU. Not approved in the EU.
