What is Methylstenbolone?
Methylstenbolone is a 17α-methylated designer steroid that was never developed as a medicine. It was marketed as a “dietary supplement”, sometimes combined with other designer steroids.
How well studied is Methylstenbolone?
No clinical studies; only case reports of adverse effects.
What side effects and risks does Methylstenbolone have?
Case reports describe severe cholestatic jaundice with extremely high bilirubin levels after a few weeks of use. The typical androgen risks (lipids, cardiovascular, hormone-axis suppression, virilisation in women) must also be expected.
Is Methylstenbolone approved in Germany?
In short: no. Not approved as a medicine anywhere. WADA S1 (covered as a substance with similar structure/effect). Under the German Medicines Act (AMG), unapproved medicines may not be placed on the market; the Anti-Doping Act must also be considered. Products are often mislabelled or spiked with other steroids.
