What is Insulins (lispro, aspart, glargine incl. U300)?
Genetically engineered insulins that lower blood sugar. Lispro and aspart act quickly at mealtimes, glargine is a long-acting basal insulin; Toujeo is glargine at triple concentration (U300). Prescribed for type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

What side effects and risks does Insulins (lispro, aspart, glargine incl. U300) have?
Main risk is hypoglycaemia – up to seizures, unconsciousness and death; also low potassium and changes of fatty tissue at injection sites. With GLP-1 drugs (e.g. tirzepatide) the hypoglycaemia risk rises markedly – the EMA lists it as a very common side effect in combination with insulin; eating less adds to it. Beta blockers can mask warning signs. U300 must not be swapped 1:1 with U100 glargine (dosing errors). Never share pens (infections).
Is Insulins (lispro, aspart, glargine incl. U300) approved in Germany?
In short: yes. Approved in Germany/EU, prescription-only. WADA: insulins (S4, metabolic modulators) prohibited at all times. Misuse in bodybuilding or for “nutrient partitioning” without diabetes is life-threatening. Taking it without a prescription and medical monitoring – e.g. bought from “peptide shops” – is dangerous: unknown quality, no lab checks, no adjustment to blood pressure, kidney values or other medicines.
