Approved in the USA since 2019 for premenopausal women with reduced sexual desire (RECONNECT trials).
What side effects and risks does bremelanotide have?
Common: nausea (in around 40%), flushing, headache, a temporary rise in blood pressure; with repeated use, dark patches on the skin.
Is bremelanotide approved in Germany?
In short: no – approved outside the EU only. Not approved in the EU. Not for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure.
